The Silk Street Sinfonietta is a London-based ensemble
dedicated to promoting young talent and new music.
Comprised of students from
the London conservatoires it has been performing at the Guildhall School since
2022.
We have made a commitment to premiere a new piece with every
concert. These have included Matthew King’s “Sonata for Laurence Crane” and
Sam Meredith’s opera “The Machine Stops”. Besides premiering anything from clarinet
quartets to one-act operas, the ensemble regularly tackles standard repertoire, aiming to create eclectic experiences with each concert.
The Silk Street Sinfonietta was co-founded and is run by
Antoine Veillerette and Yotham Ben Yami.
